Mohandas Gandhi was considered a great and wise leader of his followers. Many view the statements considered to come from him. His origin was India, but he grew up in South Africa. Many Indians migrated to South Africa because there were many jobs available in rich white people home. The Indians were counted among the black and had a hard time during the apartheid days. Gandhi opposed this. He was a trained lawyer and had studied in London for many years. What we remember of him is the white robe-like garment he wore, and his apparent external poverty and simplicity. Maybe it was a true picture, but many believe that he lived luxuriously in his house where no outsider had access.
